Odds to make the 2024-25 College Football Playoff

Clemson +185

The Tigers may not believe in the transfer portal under Dabo Swinney, but they do believe in recruiting. Junior Cade Klubnik is back after tossing for 2,844 yards and 19 TDs. Running back Phil Mafah (5-11, 230) is also back after rushing for 965 yards and 13 TDs. Freshman receiver T.J. Moore is going to be a big-play receiver right away.

Oklahoma +450

Yes, Oklahoma heads to the SEC, but an improved defense should help this team surprise. Former North Texas coach Seth Littrell adds experience to the offensive coordinator job. It starts with sophomore 5-star QB Jackson Arnold at quarterback, who has most of his key weapons returning including Gavin Sawchuk at running back (744 yds). If they can improve the defensive front, this team will go far.

Florida State +130

FSU and Mike Norvell turn to former Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei, who has some new weapons but they are very talented. At Oregon State, he threw for 2,638 yards with 21 TDs and 7 INTs. Norvell is an outstanding coach who knows how to get the most out of his talent, especially on the offensive end.

Tennessee +180

Yes, the SEC will get at least three teams in the playoffs. Joe Milton is gone but enter freshman QB Nico Iamaleava, another five-star recruit, who ran for three TDs against an elite Iowa defense in the Citrus Bowl. The talent at wide receiver is outstanding led by junior Squirrel White (67 catches for 803 yards).
