ACC

The ACC adds SMU from the AAC and Cal and Stanford from the Pac-12 to increase the league to 17 teams. SMU is probably the only new addition with a chance to win the league as they are listed at +1600. Florida State (+290) and Clemson (+340) are the top two favorites to win the ACC Championship. The return of quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei back to the league after a season at Oregon State could help Florida State win the ACC and also earn a College Football playoff spot.

ACC Championship Game Winner: Miami (FLA) +425

The Hurricanes bring in two huge transfers in quarterback Cam Ward and RB Damien Martinez to enhance a team that has a strong offensive line and four key transfers on defense. Ward comes in from Washington State after completing 65.5% of his passes for 6,963 yards and 48 TDs in two seasons. Martinez arrives from Oregon State, where he rushed for 1,185 yards and nine TDs last season. UNC transfer CJ. Clark comes in at nose guard to team with Middle Tennessee State transfer Marley Cook. Miami desperately needed a quality quarterback and they got one with Ward.

Longshot: North Carolina +3500

The Tar Heels lose another quality quarterback in Drake Maye to the NFL, but they add 6-5 senior Max Johnson from Texas A&M, who also played at LSU. He’s made 22 career starts and has thrown for nearly 5,900 yards and 47 TDs. Conner Harrell is another option who showed flashes of brilliance in the Mayo Bowl. But they have the weapons, but the key is the defense. Geoff Collins, the former Georgia Tech head coach, takes over the defense and expect some major schematic changes that could bolster the team as a surprise pick in the ACC.
