College Football Perfect Ten Week 4: September 18th

Week 3 was light on upsets but there were a few scares. Did the Top Ten change at all? Here’s the latest Perfect 10 as the CFB Playoff scramble continues.

Perfect 10 Week Three

Sad to see you go: Notre Dame Welcome to the Playoff Hunt: Tennessee; Let’s take a look at our newest version of the Perfect Ten

  1. Georgia 3-0 (+320) - So much for an easy trip to the Bluegrass State. The Bulldogs fought and clawed their way to a low-scoring win. Their defense is elite. They have the week off to figure out their offense. Last Week: #1

  1. Texas 3-0 (+500) - You know things are going well when you have a likely first-round quarterback and his backup is so good that you could ALMOST have a QB controversy. The Longhorns have another bye this week, well almost. They have a home date with UL Monroe. Last Week: #2

  1. Ohio State 2-0 (+340) - The Buckeyes had the week off and now return for another cupcake, this time against Marshall at home. Things will pick up when Big Ten play begins. Last Week: #3

  1. Miami 3-0 (+1800) - Florida State’s struggles have all but ensured that the Hurricanes’ road to the College Football Playoffs will go through Clemson. They have a road game against South Florida this week. Last Week: 4th

  1. Alabama 3-0 (+900) - Since the 4th quarter of the South Florida game, this team has looked like a National Championship contender. The dominance at the line of scrimmage both offensively and defensively has been elite in that time. They have a week off to get ready for the SEC this week. Last Week: #5

  1. Oregon 3-0 (+1200) - The Ducks offense finally looked like the offense that was expected to keep on rolling as they changed from Bo Nix to Dillon Gabriel. The change to the Big Ten may be just what this team needs to rise to the competition. Last Week: #6

  1. Ole Miss 3-0 (+1300) - This is the best team of Lane Kiffin’s tenure at Ole Miss. An NFL-level QB, elite wideouts, a dominant defensive front, and an endless supply of running backs. They have Georgia Southern this week and its starting to look more and more like this team will be undefeated when they host Georgia on 11/9. Last Week: #7

  1. Missouri 3-0 (+4500) - The Mizzou defense proved to be too much for a BC team that was rolling heading into last week’s game. They’ll get a marginal test this week at home against SEC foe Vanderbilt. Last Week: 10th

  1. Tennessee 3-0 (+1300) - They blasted NC State at home before demolishing Kent State this past week. First road test of the season is this week at #15 Oklahoma.Last Week: 10th

  1. Penn State 2-0 (+2200) - The Nittany Lions were off this past week and now they get a chance to host a shellshocked Kent State team. It’ll be smooth sailing until Big Ten play resumes.

Week Four Game of the Week:

#11 USC (-5.5) at #18 Michigan : The bloom is off the rose at Michigan already. The Wolverines are 5.5-point dogs at home? To USC? This one has me scratching my head. I thought USC looked good against LSU early but that team was still/is finding itself. They’re coming to the Big House and going to take down Michigan by more the a field goal. This one leaves me wondering.
