Copenhagen Flames Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 37th

The Danish squad Copenhagen Flames comes in on a two match losing streak. They last participated in the #HomeSweetHome Cup 4, and they ended that with consecutive 2-0 losses to Sprout and Gambit Youngsters in best-of-three-map matches. Over the past three months, Copenhagen Flames has seen success on the map Inferno. The hold a 9-4 record on the map during this period, but there's a sharp drop off from there.

Almost all of Copenhagen Flames's success comes from behind the firepower of HECTOz. Over the past three months, HECTOz has averaged 0.75 kills per round while dying 0.69 times per round. HooXi and Queenix both have not been playing to the level in which fans are accustomed to, this amongst other things has attributed to the rough road the Flames have run into lately. Copenhagen Flames need to pull things together and play well as a unit if they intend on winning this contest.

forZe Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 25th

The Russian powerhouse forZe has been on the rise over the past year. They were looking sharp during the #HomeSweetHome Cup 6 before taking a 2-0 exit at the hands of Heroic in a best-of-three-map match. The team has a trio of maps in which that have played well on over the past three months. Inferno is arguably their best map with a 15-7 record over this period. They also have a 12-6 record on Nuke and a 12-7 record on Mirage as well.

The statistical team leaders of forZe have been FL1T and xsepower over the last three months. During this time period, the duo averaged 1.47 kills with only 1.19 deaths per round. An interesting thing to note about forZe is the fact that any of ther five players could step in and lead the team if need be and no one tends to hold the team back. Whether it's Jerry, facecrack, almazer or their two statistical leaders, someone on forZe tends to step up and will the team to victory which is a great quality in a team.

Pick: forZe Spread/Handicap -2.5 Rounds (-125 @ Bovada)(2 Units)

I am playing forZe on the spread with this contest. Copenhagen Flames is a team that has been struggling lately, and they frankly are a hard team to trust. On the other hand, forZe sits 25th in the HLTV world rankings and they play up to their ranking. With the depth on forZe's roster, it's hard to imagine that they will struggle much with the Flames. I'm not loading up on this one because I do respect Copenhagen Flames and I know their potential, but I am very confident that forZe will win this battle by more than three rounds.
