FATE Preview

FATE’s Bulgarian roster has been making waves in the CS:GO scene recently. The team has won four of its last five matches highlighting the form of its players. Their recent victories include matches against GameAgents, ALTERNATE aTTaX, Gambit Youngsters and Team Singularity. The star player on the roster, h4rn, has been crucial to the team’s success as he has a 1.09 rating. However, his frags are impact frags that ensure a significantly higher chance of success for FATE.

FATE has a deep map pool and can play on almost any map in rotation. Nuke is the only map where the team feels uncomfortable and it is an easy ban for the players. Blocker and co. have a 74% win-rate on Train and an equally impressive 62% win-rate on Dust2. The team has a a high skill ceiling and yet continues to deliver on strat-heavy maps like Train

LDLC Preview

LDLC’s French CS:GO roster includes some big names from the scene. However, the team’s 74th rank suggests that most of these big names are not in good form and can contribute very little to team’s chances this match. Despite having names like hAdji, bodyy and SIXER, LDLC has failed to convert strong starts to wins.

LDLC has lost four of its last five matches, even as it struggles to establish a strong map pool. In true French CS:GO fashion, LDLC is very strong on Dust2 and Inferno. However, that is the extent of its familiarity with the map pool. Th abysmal win-rate on most of the other maps signals problems for thea team in the map veto phase.

Pick: FATE ML (-170 @ Pinnacle)

There is no doubt that FATE is the favorite team coming into this match. The opening match is a best-of-one series and teams with a deep map pool will have a slight advantage. FATE’s players will look to impress their advantage int he map veto phase itself. I am taking FATE to win this series.
