G2 and Heroic will face each other at the DreamHack Masters Spring Europe. The two teams are part of Group A, that also includes North and Astralis.
The DreamHack Masters Spring Europe is a sixteen team $160,000 online CS:GO tournament. The tournament kicks off on May 19 and will continue till June 14. The teams are divided into four groups of four teams each and play in a round-robin format. The group winners advance to the upper bracket of the semifinal. The second and third-placed teams in each group advance to the lower bracket.
G2 Preview
G2 is fresh off a 0-3 grand finals against Astralis in the ESL One: Road to Rio EU. Since Astralis is also present in Group A of the DreamHack Masters Spring EU, G2 will have to secure their place in the playoffs with early victories against North and Heroic. G2’s performance boost comes on the of some incredible performances by kennyS. The AWPer has returned to his aggressive form which sends teams off-balance.
Heroic Preview
Heroic has made many roster changes in recent weeks. They added Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen to their team towards late-April, and the team is still finding its playstyle and strategy. Heroic is ranked 36th in the world, and they have their work cut out for them going against the 5th ranked team.
