Free League Of Legends Betting Picks - Mid-Season Cup 2020 - DragonX (DRX) vs. Gen.G Preview & Prediction

The third match of the day will be a battle of the LCK as DragonX will battle with Gen.G. Mid-Season Cup 2020 is a battle between the top four teams from both the LCK (premier Korean League of Legends league) and the LPL (premier Chinese League of Legends league). The event is broken into two stages, Group Stage and Knockout Stage.

The eight participants are broken into two groups of four for the Group Stage. They then take place in a round-robin style bracket featuring six single-round matches between the four teams in one calendar day. The top two from each group will advance to a single-elimination bracket for the Knockout Stage which will feature best-of-five round matches.

DragonX Preview

DragonX enters as the third place finisher in the LCK Spring Playoffs. They were able to take down fellow tournament-participator DAMWON Gaming 3-2 in the quarterfinals before falling to the eventual champion T1 in the semifinals. They were able to avoid being sweeped in that match in which they were overmatched though, losing 3-1.

Although DragonX finished 3rd in the LCK, they are an extremely tough team. They turned in a 14-4 record in the Spring Split which was part of a three way tie for first in the Split. Mid-laner Chovy and ADC Deft are the firepower behind the team. Top-laner Doran and jungler Pyosik are no pushovers either. DragonX has the potential to take down any of the teams in their group.

Gen.G Preview

The runner-ups of the LCK Spring Split Playoffs, Gen.G is an odd team. They are one of the best teams around some days, and then seem to be off-sync the next. They held the coveted first seed for the playoffs and an automatic bye to the finals, but were dominated at the hands of T1 in a 3-0 showing in the championship match.

ADC Ruler and the mid-laner Bdd are an extremely potent one-two punch when they are playing to their full potential. In fact, the two hold a combined KDA of 13.76 and both have a kill participation percentage of at least 70.7%. It's not perfectly clear who Gen.G will roll out at the support position. However, the team has won double as many games as they have lost with either Life or Kellin in this role so they are in good hands regardless of which is playing.

Pick: Gen.G ML(-140 @ Bovada)

I expect this to be sort of a rebound match for Gen.G. They have to open the day playing JD Gaming, a bout in which they most likely will lose. DragonX is a team that they can beat, given that Ruler and Bdd are on their best. I believe this will be the case as Gen.G will need this win to stay in contention for the Knockout Stage.
