Rogue (-240) vs. Team Vitality (+170)

The LEC is back for another explosive weekend, and Week 2 will kick off with Rogue (3-0) and Team Vitality (2-1). This will be Rogue's toughest test so far as their wins came against Excel, Misfits and FC Schalke 04, all of which will be towards the bottom of the LEC standings at the end of the split. Meanwhile, Team Vitality's only loss came at the hands of undefeated Fnatic, and their win over FC Schalke 04 won't impress anyone but their victory against G2 is something of note. Comparing these lineups by lane, I can't find any position where I would give Team Vitality a for sure advantage in, so I can't in good faith back them to win this bout.

Pick: Rogue (-240)

Misfits (-180) vs. SK Gaming (+130)

The second contest of the slate is definitely an intriguing one between two road-tested teams. Misfits (1-2) has played arguably the toughest schedule in the LEC so far as they have taken on Fnatic, Rogue and Origen with their only win coming against Origen. Their opponent, SK Gaming (2-1), has wins against Origen and FC Schalke 04 this split, with their only loss coming to MAD Lions. I personally believe that we can throw their records out the window this early in the split, and I also believe that oddsmakers got this contest right. Both teams have a few talented players on their roster, but I expect Misfits's Bot Laner Kobbe to be the difference-maker. He is one of the best Bot Laners in the LEC, and I expect him to win to carry Misfits to the win.

Pick: Misfits (-180)

G2 (-700) vs. FC Schalke 04 (+400)

I am going to spend little to no time on this match because my play is very obvious. FC Schalke 04 is clearly a bottom-feeder in the LEC this split. Meanwhile, G2 is one of the best teams in the league and they will make easy work of FC Schalke 04. If you can find a spread for G2, by all means jump on it. Bovada hasn't released a spread at this point though, so I'll take the chalky moneyline for the sake of this article.

Pick: G2 (-700)

Origen (-360) vs. Excel (+245)

The fourth match of the day will be between two teams who need a win in Origen (1-2) and Excel (0-3). I am not holding Excel's three losses against them because they came at the hands of three tough opponents in Rogue, MAD Lions and Fnatic. Origen was an odd team during the Week 1 action. They lost to SK Gaming and Misfits, two matches that they probably should have won. However, their only win came against G2 who, as I mentioned earlier, is one of the toughest teams in the LEC. I'm not really sold on either team, but I am going to take a stab with Excel's moneyline for one unit. I feel as though they are overdue for a win and I need more than one upset to convince me that Origen is any better.

Pick: Excel (+245)

Fnatic (-220) vs. MAD Lions (+160)

The last contest of the day should feature plenty of fireworks between Fnatic (3-0) and MAD Lions (2-1). This is an odd contest to me because we haven't really gotten much of a test from either team. In fact, Fnatic's only tough test was Team Vitality and MAD Lions's only one was against G2. This contest is much closer than oddsmakers are given it credit for being, and I believe that this game is more or less a flip of the coin. In cases such as these, I love to throw a unit on the underdog. MAD Lions has a very good chance of winning, they just have to rely on a great team effort.

Pick: MAD Lions (+160)
