HellRaisers vs. Trident, Preview & Prediction - Free 1/18 CS:GO

HellRaisers are massive favorites when they meet Trident in the Group B opening match of the Snow Sweet Snow 1 Regionals on Monday. Winstrike and Project X are also playing in this group, so HellRaisers must get a win to stay in contention for one of the two top places that lead to the playoffs.

HellRaisers Team Stats and Latest Results

HellRaisers close the last year with three consecutive wins at the Vulkan Fight Series 2020 and reached the playoffs without trouble. They beat Project X, Espada, and MBAPPEKK to make the cut, and then defeated forZe in the quarter-finals. However, even though they won the opening map against Sinners in the semis, HellRaisers dropped the next two maps and had to settle with 3rd place and $3,375. HellRaisers won seven of the previous seven matches.

During the last three months, HellRaisers played well on Dust2 (66.7% win rate) and Train (62.5%), while they failed to impress on Vertigo (25.0%). HellRaisers changed their lineup for this game as jR (1.07 rating) departed and anarkez will play instead of him. The rest of the team is made of kalinka (1.03), Flarich (1.02), ProbLeM (1.09), and JIaYm (1.07).

Trident Team Stats and Latest Results

Trident (former Cyber Legacy) is one of the newest teams that joined the CS:GO tour and they didn’t play a single match under this name. Considering they are debutants and never played a competitive CS:GO match, it’s hard to believe Trident can make an upset on Monday.

We don’t even know all five members of Trident’s squad. At the moment, we do know four players who will face HellRaisers: seized (0.98), clax (0.98), tricky (1.00), and glowing (0.98).

HellRaisers vs. Trident H2H Record

These rivals have met on two occasions before, and the series is tied at 1-1 after Trident (then Cyber Legacy) secured a 2-0 win at the IEM New York 2020 CIS Closed Qualifier in August 2020.

HellRaisers vs. Trident Betting Preview

HellRaisers did lose the last two games, but they won eight of the nine matches before that negative streak and given that Trident is going to play its first CS:GO match, I am backing the favorites to get a comfortable win. Even though I usually avoid betting on the spread, it seems that HellRaisers cannot afford to drop a map here as tougher games expect them in the coming days. I am backing them to cover the spread and secure a 2-0 win.

The Pick: HellRaisers -1.5 (-147 @GG.BET)
