Movistar Riders Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 30th

Record: 1-4

The Spanish squad of Movistar Riders finally broke the win column at the ESEA MDL Season 34: Premier Division - Europe with a 16-12 victory over pro100. Inferno, Nuke and Train could all three be considered as their best maps, and they haven't been overly successful on these maps over the past three months either. They have a 55.6% win rate on Inferno and Nuke, and a worse 50% win rate on Train. This is something to keep an eye on in this contest.

The team leader statistically of Movistar Riders is alex, and he will be heavily relied on in this contest. Over the past three months, he has averaged 0.72 kills per round with only 0.66 deaths a round. He's been the only real consistent player for Movistar Riders, and this has been a problem for them. The Riders need one of their other four players on the roster to step in and provide some aid for alex if they plan on having a chance in this contest.

Team Singularity Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 103rd

Record: 3-3

Don't let Team Singularity's low HLTV world ranking fool you, they are still a strong opponent. The team peaked at 58th in the rankings back in March of this year before falling off a cliff. Something that hasn't been very good for them lately is the fact that they have a 50% win rate on the map Overpass, and this is their best win rate on any map over the past three months. Regardless of the map selected, you never really know which Team Singularity will show up.

The squad from Denmark is young and they have an average age of 21.8 years old. The soul of Team Singularity has been mertz. Over the past three months, he's averaged 0.79 kills per round while only dying 0.69 times a round. Remoy has been a huge hindrance to them lately with a horrendous 0.48 kills per round with dying 0.7 times a round. Team Singularity has got to show up in their best form if they plan on being any kind of competitive in this contest.

Pick: Over 26.5 Rounds (-125 @ Bovada)(1 unit)

I'm playing the over for a unit in this contest. I don't have a ton of faith in Team Singularity due to their recent performance however Movistar Riders has not been good in their own right. The Riders finally got their first win in five tries last time around and that match took 28 rounds to decide. Team Singularity, despite their fall in the rankings, has been competitive even though they haven't been winning. The best play for this contest is to side with the over due to Movistar Riders's struggles when it comes to closing out contests.
