Order Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 68th

Order looked completely outmatched in their opening match in the upper bracket of the playoffs. Avant Gaming had their way with them as they blanked them 2-0. A more unique characteristic of Order is their diverse map pool in which they excel on. The team has been outstanding on the map Mirage over the past three months with a 9-1 record. Order has win rates of over 50 on Vertigo, Nuke, Train and Inferno also.

Rickeh, USTILO and aliStair make up an absolutely solid team core. The Australian trio has averaged an impressive 2.2 kills per round while only dying 1.82 times a round during this same period. Valiance and J1rah are no slouches either, and they both have matches where they step up and carry Order. The only thing Order has to do to avoid an upset is stick to their normal gameplan and not get too ahead of themselves. Their roster is good enough to beat any team in the world on any given day.

Chiefs Esports Club Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 87th

Chiefs Esports Club gave a very valiant effort in their DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 - Oceania debut, but it was all for nothing. They took Renegades to a third map before falling in defeat 2-1. Dust2 is the team's least favorite map with a 51.7% win rate over history. Chiefs Esports Club, much like their opponent, have a diverse map pool. They hold win rates of 60% all time on Cache, Train, Overpass, Nuke, Mirage, Inferno and Vertigo.

Team cohesion will be the key for Chiefs Esports Club. They've debuted two new players recently in Vexite and zeph, and they have clearly already developed at least a tiny bit of chemistry although the team hasn't been quite as dominant. Chiefs Esports Club tends to rely more on a team effort generally rather than one or two players as some teams will. HUGHMUNGUS, soju_j and apocdud are a strong three when playing together, but none of them really separate themselves from the others. Until Chiefs Esports Club builds their team chemistry a little more slightly, they are a tough team to have faith in.

Pick: Order ML (-110 @ Bovada)(2 units)

I am taking Order in this contest for multiple reasons. Order hasn't lost a full contest against Chiefs Esports Club since November 6th of 2019, with some battles being best-of-one-map and others being best-of-three-map matches. Both teams feature diverse map pools which won't give either team much of an advantage. When this is the case I look to roster compostion. Chiefs Esports Club rosters a player who is 15 years old and is also newer to the team which doesn't typically bode well. Orders' domination in the past six or more months hasn't been a fluke, and they will take care of business here also.
