The DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 -Asia upper bracket final is set, and it should be a fun battle between TYLOO and ViCi Gaming. This game is scheduled as a best-of-three-map match. The winner of this contest will be locked into the Grand Final, a match in which they will hold a one map headstart advantage. The loser will fall to the lower bracket final to take on the winner of Beyond Esports and Lucid Dreams to battle for the second seat in the Grand Final.

TYLOO Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 52nd

The Chinese squad TYLOO had an impressive showing in their opening match of the tournament. They dominated Beyond Esports, blanking them 2-0. This was a much-needed win after dropping their two previous contests. In fact, TYLOO's last win before this was a 2-1 victory over ViCi Gaming back on May 9th. Dust2 has by far been the team's best map over the past three months with an 8-1 record. However, they have no other maps with a win rate over 50% during this period which may come back to haunt them.

DANK1NG is not only the team leader of TYLOO, but arguably the best CS:GO player in all of China. He's been outstanding over the past three months with an average of 0.81 kills and only 0.65 deaths per round. SLOWLY has also been solid with an average of 0.77 kills and only 0.69 deaths a round during this same period. The biggest problem for TYLOO has seemingly been secondary production as their youth is sometimes exposed. As long as TYLOO plays at a slow pace and doesn't get ahead of themselves, they should be very competitive in this contest and could even win if the cards fall right.

ViCi Gaming Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 67th

ViCi Gaming has been on an absolute roll lately despite not rising in the world rankings very far. They blew past Lucid Dream 2-0 in the first round of this tournament, and they have held an impressive 11-2 record in events since the beginning of 2020. They haven't lost a match on the maps Nuke and Inferno in the past three months, and they have a 75% win rate on both Train and Overpass as well. Mirage is the only map in which they've struggled on lately with a dismal 28.6% win rate on this map during the same time period.

JamYoung, aumaN and Kaze make up a pretty strong core for ViCi Gaming. Over the past three months, they've averaged 2.28 kills with only 1.85 deaths per round. Advent's play will be something to watch as the 27-year-old CS:GO vet has seen better days. He's only averaged 0.5 kills per round while dying 0.63 times a round the last three months. Advent's best quality is his experience. He's good as an IGL (In-Game Leader) and managing the team's economy. The key to ViCi Gaming winning will be to stick to their normal approach of a strategic attack. If they do this, they shouldn't have many problems in this contest.

Pick: ViCi Gaming ML (-150 @ Bovada)(2 units)

I love ViCi gaming to be victorious in this best-of-three battle. They've lost to TYLOO recently, and they've got to be anxious to avenge that loss, especially now that the stakes are higher. ViCi Gaming has been on an absolute roll the entire year of 2020, and they have only lost two matches since the beginning of the year. I am almost tempted to take their spread at a two to one payout, but the map selection will be key and TYLOO is certain to be very competitive on at least one map. I'm laying the juice with ViCi Gaming to win this contest, and I am fully confident that they will get the job done.
