Week 2 of the LEC will close with another action-packed five game slate, as is customary for the league. Rogue and SK Gaming continue to impress, meanwhile Excel Esports and FC Schalke 04 have apparently fallen off a cliff. Yesterday, followers of my picks who are $100 per unit bettors broke even as did I, and I have a great feeling that we can change that to a profitable day today.

SK Gaming (-195) vs. Excel Esports (+140)

The first game of the day is between two teams who appear to be tumbling in opposite directions. SK Gaming made a little change in their roster as former Mid Laner Jenax has moved to the starting Top Laner position to make way for the incoming Mid Laner ZaZee from BIG. The addition of ZaZee has seemingly fixed the holes in SK Gaming's play, and I have a feeling they will be a contender for the split championship. Meanwhile, Excel Esports has a new Top Laner and Mid Laner this split, and the team does not look good right now with these new players. I am all over SK Gaming in this opening matchup of the day.

Pick: SK Gaming (-195)

Misfits Gaming (-260) vs. FC Schalke 04 (+185)

The second contest of the day is a bottom-dweller battle. Misfits is only 1-3 while FC Schalke 04 is 0-4. Although Misfits added Bot Laner Kobbe and Support player Doss for this split, which theoretically were upgrades, the team still hasn't been playing well. FC Schalke 04 didn't make many roster changes during the break into between splits, and their play hasn't improved much from their 6-12 run in the Spring Split either. I am a big fan of the Bot Laner-Support combo of Kobbe and Doss. I believe they are a strong duo that compliments each other very well. I expect Misfits Gaming to get things together sooner rather than later, and a win against a horrid FC Schalke 04 squad will be a good step in that direction.

Pick: Misfits Gaming (-260)

MAD Lions (-215) vs. Team Vitality (+155)

Moving along with the slate, 3-1 MAD Lions will take on 2-2 Team Vitality. MAD Lions is still rolling out their same lineup from their 11-7 run in the Spring Split, and they look even better so far this split. Meanwhile, Top Laner Cabochard and Bot Laner Comp are the only remaining pieces from Team Vitality's horrible 2-16 Spring Split. The three new additions were definitely improvements for the team's play, but only one of the team's two wins impresses me in the slightest and that was against G2 Esports. Team Vitality is in over their heads in this match, so I am laying the juice yet again.

Pick: MAD Lions (-215)

G2 Esports (-260) vs. Rogue (+180)

The odds on the fourth contest of the day are very interesting. Sure, G2 Esports won the Spring Split, but they haven't looked nearly as dominant this split. Meanwhile, Rogue is the only undefeated team remaining in the LEC, and they have improved drastically from their 9-9 run in the Spring Split. Neither of these teams made any changes during the break in between splits, so one can assume that G2 Esports will find their groove again. Rogue caught some bad breaks during their .500 split earlier this year, and I believe they were better than their record indicated. I like Rogue to remain undefeated in this battle between teams who should be two of the top LEC teams this Summer Split.

Pick: Rogue (+180)

Fnatic (-210) vs. Origen (+150)

The last, but certainly not least bout of the day will be between two tough teams in the 3-1 Fnatic and the 2-2 Origen. Both of these teams carried a 13-5 record throughout the Spring Split, and they both will be competitors for the title once again this split. Fnatic's only loss came to MAD Lions, which is not a bad loss at all. Meanwhile, Origen has losses to an improved SK Gaming team and a Misfits Gaming team that is better than their record would indicate. These teams split their two meetings in the Spring Split, but I feel as though Fnatic has been playing much better this time around. I am very tempted to take a stab with Origen, but I am going to stick to my guns as I believe Fnatic will win this one.

Pick: Fnatic (-210)
