Singularity Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 81st

The Danish squad of Singularity has lost their mojo after peaking at 58th in the world rankings back at the beginning of March. The past three months have been extremely rough on Singularity as they have only won 38.5% of their matches during this time. Map selection won't make anyone feel better about backing Singularity either. Their best two maps are Mirage and Overpass, and they only have a dismal 50% win rate on these two maps.

What little success that Singularity has seen over the last three months has come almost exclusively on the shoulders of mertz. He's been the lone bright spot for them with an average of 0.79 kills per round while only dying 0.69 times a round. TOBIZ and Remoy have to step it up if Singularity plans on being any kind of competition here. These two have only averaged 1.08 kills per round while being killed 1.36 times a round. Singularity has to play better as a unit if they plan on seeing any sort of success in the near future.

LDLC Preview

HLTV World Ranking: 83rd

Much like their opponent, LDLC has fallen off a cliff in the more recent times after a sharp rise through the rankings. They peaked in the rankings at 53rd in April, but this time was short-lived. LDLC has a poor win rate of only 33.3% and things don't appear to be getting better. The team holds a 55.6% win rate on Dust2 and a 54.5% win rate on Nuke, but things take a dive after this. In fact, LDLC has no other maps in their arsenal with a win rate of over 50%.

All of LDLC's success is based around the performances of hAdji and SIXER. These two have averaged 1.51 kills per round while only being killed 1.27 times a round. Their counterpart bodyy has been good at getting kills (0.75 per round), but he also averages 0.73 deaths a round. Lambert and afroo have been hindrances to the team recently, and they need to step it up. These two have averaged only 1.11 kills a round while dying 1.4 times per round. LDLC needs a win in the worst way, and this is a very winnable contest for them.

Pick: LDLC Spread/Handicap -2.5 Rounds (+100 @ Bovada)

I like LDLC to pick up a win by at least three rounds in this battle between teams who desperately need to turn the corner. The biggest difference between these teams is the fact that LDLC has the better map pool. Another key difference is the fact that LDLC has three members who can step in and lead the team while Singularity has been known to be dependent almost solely on mertz. I don't expect Singularity to stand any chance in this battle as LDLC will make relatively quick work of them, covering the spread in the process.
